Dennis Hicks

Vanguard Health Systems, Inc. has named Dennis Hicks as their Western Region CIO for the Phoenix, AZ region.

Dennis will be responsible for the Regional Information Systems for the 6 area VHS hospitals, 5 diagnostic imaging centers, various family health clinics, a home health agency and a 75,000 member health plan encompassing two data centers. He will be the central resource with VHS IT strategies across the western region and be a key member of the company’s national IS strategic initiatives.

Dennis was an active member in the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of the Technology Executives Networking Group (DFW-TENG) and accepted this position shortly after joining DFW-TENG.

Eric Holleman

Belmont Financial Group, an investment management company, has named Eric Holleman as Vice President of Financial Services.

Eric's responsibilities will include Technology, Operations and Finance. One of his group's first initiatives will be a General Ledger Selection and Implementation.

To quote Eric, "My association with TENG has been, and will continue to be, a very positive experience. I appreciate all of the support that we have offered to each other. The DFW chapter has been especially rewarding as I have established many new friendships. I would also like to say that the Bios have been quite successful as I received a number of inquiries as a direct result of the DFW-TENG Bios."

 

Jeffrey C. Irland

Unisys Corporation has named Jeffrey C. Irland as Practice Director within Unisys's Digital Strategy and Development organization.

Jeff will be responsible for defining, selling and implementing wireless solutions for security and emergency responders that address the opportunities within justice & public safety, transportation, healthcare, Utilities, and the emerging Homeland Security markets. He will initially lead Unisys's effort to develop a wireless architectural roadmap and initial implementation plan for the federal government's new Transportation Security Agency (TSA).

Jeff was extremely interested in Homeland Security, and with his unique insight and ideas he began his discussions with Unisys in August 2002. After many presentations, and follow up analysis and discussions Unisys recognized Jeff's unique insight and ideas, and how they would fit into and benefit the corporation. Jeff set him self apart from others by demonstrating his knowledge and ability to analyze and present concepts that would benefit the company.

Jeff was an active member in the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of the Technology Executives Networking Group (DFW-TENG), and relied on the group's support, encouragement and advice to make a successful transition to his new position.

Kris Lonborg

Ernst & Young LLP has named Kris Lonborg a Partner in the Southwest Area's IT Risk Management group.

Kris will be responsible for the IT audit and control issues for a number of key clients. He will be heavily involved in helping clients make sure they properly comply with the new regulatory reporting requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley.

Kris is returning to Ernst & Young after a layoff of less than six months. Changing circumstances in the Southwest Area resulted in the creation of a new position for which Kris was qualified and Kris had maintained the relationships that made his consideration for this position possible.

Kris was an active member in the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of the Technology Executives Networking Group (DFW-TENG), which played an important role in his successful transition to this new position.
